FeesThe MDE provides in-country English-language economics training to international standards at a fraction of the cost of equivalent courses overseas. MDE students gain a European degree (from ths ISS) without paying European prices.
For the intake 2005-2008, the fee for the course is US$3500. This fee is payable in three sums: $1200 in November 2005, $1200 in June 2006, and $1100 in December 2006. For the next intake (Class 14, 2006-2009), the fee for the course is planed at US$4200.LoansMDE students are able to receive loans from the Asian Commercial Bank (ACB) to cover a share of their tuition fees. Every student that passes the entrance exams and is accepted to join the MDE Program will automatically be able to apply for a student loan to cover 80%of the fee. Students will start paying the loans back gradually, but with interest, after finishing the MDE Program. Collateral and/or Guarantee Letters will be required to obtain these loans. Currently that loans are available to support students. For more information about this scheme, contact Professor Vu Thieu. ScholarshipsA number of scholarships were available for students in Class 8-11 and now are available for students in Class 12 (starting October 2005). Luxembourg Scholarships will be awarded to the ten top-ranked students in the entrance examinations and in the training process and may also be awarded to talented students from poor families. New Zealand Scholarships will be awarded to the two highest-ranked students from Central Vietnam to meet the MDE entrance criteria and committed to work in Central Vietnam after graduating from MDE.
The MDE welcomes offers of sponsored applications from public and private sector partners who are seeking to foster capacity development in Vietnam.
